* This block is incredibly important as you prepare for your Step 1 board exam. In this section, material organized by individual system to include the relevant physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.*
As you move through the different systems, it is extremely important that you stay organized. Learn the material for the sake of actually LEARNING it. Keep your notes in a format that you can use to later for exam/board preparation. The lab sessions held throughout the block are a great way to review what you have been learning in class and test your knowledge. Take advantage of the professors in these sessions to ask questions.
The best resources are really your class notes supplemented by the USMLE First Aid book for Step 1 Review. Only use First Aid for topics you are struggling with and to review the corresponding system before exams. Your primary focus is not reading First Aid to prep for boards... that comes later.
Lastly, it is also a good habit to start doing practice questions on USMLEasy or USMLE world. A couple questions a day (10-15) in the organ system you are currently learning is also a great way to test your knowledge and will really help when it comes time to prep for boards. * This should be low priority until you reach like January or February but people often find it helpful to prepare for exams.*
